So I got up this morning, went to the gym, got myself ready for my day, and then there was a knock on the door. Imagine clouds separating in the skies and giant light rays coming through. Okay so that's not really what happened but that is how I felt because it was the UPS guy and I knew what he had for me, a wedding album. I had been wanting to work on an album for some time and between all the wedding consultations and clients this last fall, I didn't have the time to focus on it. As I …

Rachel + Tripp before they say “I do”: D.C. Wedding Photographer, Virginia Wedding Photographer
These two. Aww these two!! Rachel, like most of my brides, came as a referral from a fabulous hair and makeup team I had the opportunity to work with on a wedding last year. I love how word of mouth just travels! Anyway, she called and was wondering if I could shoot her wedding in October and unfortunately, I was already booked for her date :( I really wish I could duplicate myself like Hugh Jackman in the Prestige. I mean how cool would that be if I could shoot every wedding that I …
It’s a carnival for Mr. “R”: D.C. Event Photographer

As usual, we started before the …

Growing up I had a piano teacher, also named Tram, and her family had come over to the U.S. not long after the Vietnam war. Her entire family was so happy to have me in their home. They would always cook traditional cuisine and share it with me. …
He’s going to be a charmer: D.C. Newborn Photographer
I was so looking forward to this newborn session. It seems like when I do newborns, they come in a series of all girls or all boys. Recently I have been doing more girl newborn sessions and I had purchased some new baby boy props from etsy so I got to try them out. Whenever I go to any of the older cities in Virginia or D.C., I always make sure to bring a softbox with me. Sometimes you never know when you might need that artificial light and I always like to be prepared for any situation. …
