Rachel + Tripp before they say “I do”: D.C. Wedding Photographer, Virginia Wedding Photographer

These two.   Aww these two!!  Rachel, like most of my brides, came as a referral from a fabulous hair and makeup team I had the opportunity to work with on a wedding last year.  I love how word of mouth just travels!  Anyway, she called and was wondering if I could shoot her wedding in October and unfortunately, I was already booked for her date :(  I really wish I could duplicate myself like Hugh Jackman in the Prestige.  I mean how cool would that be if I could shoot every wedding that I …

It’s a carnival for Mr. “R”: D.C. Event Photographer

This little guy was such a sweetie.  Everything was well planned and organized for this carnival themed birthday.  There were "animals," balloon artists, face painters, cotton candy, funnel cakes, and popcorn.  Not to mention the endless array of games.  It was a fabulous 1st birthday party!  Even though the adults had a lot of visiting time too, which I was able to capture, I wanted to focus on Mr. "R" and all his friends that shared his special day with him.  As usual, we started before the …

He’s going to be a charmer: D.C. Newborn Photographer

I was so looking forward to this newborn session.  It seems like when I do newborns, they come in a series of all girls or all boys.  Recently I have been doing more girl newborn sessions and I had purchased some new baby boy props from etsy so I got to try them out.  Whenever I go to any of the older cities in Virginia or D.C., I always make sure to bring a softbox with me.  Sometimes you never know when you might need that artificial light and I always like to be prepared for any situation.  …

It’s raining girls!: Northern Virginia Newborn Photographer

This is the second time I have had the privilege of working with this family of girls.  The middle daughter came through my front door and the first thing she said was: "Guess what?  I have a little sister!"  She had to share every little detail.  It was too cute!  These girls remind me of my two nieces and they are just so sweet and fun.  The two older girls have very different personalities and I can't help but wonder what their youngest sister will be like.  She was a perfect little model for …
