When Tram first called me to talk about her wedding, she started to explain to me that she would be having a traditional Vietnamese ceremony. I was very intrigued and it brought back fond memories of my own experience with the Vietnamese culture. Growing up I had a piano teacher, also named Tram, and her family had come over to the U.S. not long after the Vietnam war. Her entire family was so happy to have me in their home. They would always cook traditional cuisine and share it with me. They even invited me to Vietnamese New Year a couple of times. Their food was delicious, but what was more eye opening was the warmth of their culture. They are just a warmhearted, generous, and kind people.
Needless to say I was elated that I was asked to photograph Tram and Andy’s wedding. They are such a sweet couple and I am so happy for them. I can’t wait to be part of their celebration!
This couple will be featured quite a bit as this is the first in a series of shoots we will be doing together. Enjoy!
