A Golden Family Session: Loudoun County Photographer, Harper’s Ferry West Virginia

May 24, 2012

The evening for the shoot, the weather was perfection.  I just knew that the fates were with us as we ventured through Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia.  This is one of my favorite locations to shoot.  It presents some difficulties, like the need for a permit, which isn’t fun, but fortunately, the National Park Service is quite easy to work with and it’s always better to be safe than sorry 🙂  This family came as a referral from one of my clients last year.  It was pleasure to spend time together running, laughing, climbing rock formations, looking for the geese in the river, and enjoying the sunshine of the twilight hour.  I really enjoyed this session.

I hope I get to work with more families like this in the near future.  It really makes me feel like my job is no job at all 🙂

P.S. 20 comments on the blog and they will will a free print, so leave them some love and all that good stuff!

Love the different expressions on the faces of the children –
it really shows their personalities. My favorite – the family shot on the rocks at the waters edge. Beautiful pictures of a beautiful family.

what a darling family. When those children are teenagers, the parents will love looking back on the pictures of the two of them kissing.

    The scenery is beautiful.

Okay… some seriously precious pictures of the kids. Love numbers 3, 5, 6, 8, 15 (manischewitz, that’s a nice one!), 16 and 20. Hmm, so that’s like almost all of them. Simply priceless.

I love the affection between this family. The kids puckering up for a little sibling affection was so cute. Love it how you capture those itimate moments and make us forget you are looking into a photo.
