It’s that time of year when families are getting dressed up and geared up for the holidays which means family portrait time. This has been a fun fall just full of families. I loved this session because everyone had so much fun and were so relaxed and easy going. I can tell you first hand that nothing will ruin a family session faster than a parent yelling at or getting angry at their child. This just doesn’t work for favorable photography and I say this because parents need to prepare themselves to be a little more playful and less stressful while taking pictures. If you want genuine smiles from your children, keep everything positive with them even when you feel you need to discipline. Also, I want your children to have good feelings about photography and doing family photos. They won’t be so keen to participate in the future if it’s a negative experience for them.
This family rocked their session and I believe it’s because they always come prepared to have a good time and don’t stress over little things. I also loved that their outfits were coordinated but not too matchy. It was a wonderful session!
