It pays to recycle: Loudoun County Photographer

October 10, 2011

I recently co-sponsored a community recycling project that was put on by a group of youth called Kids Indeed Succeed.  The project teaches children about the importance of recycling and how to do it.  You can see their PSA here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XSf5fo-Pnk   The youth were even recognized by Purcellville’s Mayor Bob Lazaro.  I love seeing youth take initiative in their own neighborhoods, making it a better place for everyone.  The contest involved recycling weekly, and making sure that when you put your recycling out, it doesn’t litter the whole neighborhood, defeating its purpose.  We have all seen that happen!  This family won the contest and won a free session by me.  This awesome family was so fun to work with.  I feel like I say that about every family I shoot, but all I can say is I work with the best of the best 🙂
