Longing for Summer: Washington State Family Photos

May 23, 2013

Every time this time of year I start getting just a little antsy.  Maybe it’s because my birthday always hits this month and it’s the month before the kids get off from school.  I’m not sure, but I do know that my mind wanders to the summer months when I get to spend time with my family.  I typically take most of the month of July off so I can really refresh and spend quality time with the most important people in my life, my family.  We try to plan a family vacation to visit relatives and given that I have two grandparents still living, I try my best to get back and see them.  It’s a time for me to remember what life is all about and reconnect with my family members.  This year we had the addition of two new babies from my younger brothers.  I can’t wait to get back to Washington State and visit with everyone.

I also love photographing in Washington, especially by the water.  While I was back there last summer I decided to do family pics of my sister’s family by the ship docks in Ilwaco, Washington.  As you can see from the pics, photographing my nieces and nephew is  just pure fun and I can’t wait to do it again this summer.  Enjoy and here’s to warm weather and happy hearts!
