Sarah + Joe’s Shadow Creek Wedding<\/h3>\n

Shadow Creek<\/a> is a stunning wedding venue in Purcellville, Virginia. Whenever I get an inquiry to photograph a wedding there, I cross my fingers that the date is open, because I just love shooting there. Not only because the venue and setting are so bucolic (Western Loudoun County is hard to beat), but because the owners, the Carlyle family, are the sweetest folks you could ever meet. They really do a good job improving on their venue year after year. Additionally, because of its location and because I am a local (I live about 10 minutes away) there are a ton of shooting spots close by to Shadow Creek in the surrounding countryside. I always encourage my couples to go off site so we can capture the amazing pastoral views that surround Shadow Creek<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sarah & Joe had some of the best family & friends to celebrate with them. Joe’s younger brother gave him the nicest putter I’ve ever seen as a wedding gift during the toast. For you golfers out there, you would have been drooling too. Not that I fancy myself a great golfer, but I do love the game too! Sarah’s dad was absolutely beaming the entire day. He was one proud poppa, and I couldn’t help wipe the smile from my face just seeing him smile at his daughter. Just look at the father\/ daughter dance photos and you’ll see what I mean. Their incorporation of the Filipino money dance was such a fun and personal touch to highlight Sarah’s family. It was so much fun and I don’t think they minded the money either, especially given that they were leaving the next day for the Maldives. Wish that I could have fit in their suitcase because their honeymoon sounded amazing. All in all, it was another gorgeous wedding at Shadow Creek. Enjoy seeing all the pretty touches!<\/p>\n
