It seems like forever since I’ve stared at the page of my blog, putting a post together.\u00a0 With the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year, I gave myself a much needed blogging break.\u00a0 Not that I haven’t had a ton of sessions, weddings, and the like to post, but I just needed to focus on other aspects of my business to ensure that my clients get their images in a timely manner and so the blog is the first thing on my list that takes a back seat when crunch time happens and well, fall is just that.\u00a0 So thank you all for being patient as I get back into the swing of blogging.<\/p>\n

This wedding has been begging to be blogged since I photographed it last summer.\u00a0 I can’t believe it’s been a year!\u00a0 Mai and John got married at Washington D.C.’s The Anderson House<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 It is owned by The Society of the Cincinnati<\/span><\/a> and it was one of the most gorgeous venues I have ever photographed at.\u00a0 It is timeless, elegant, and captivating all at the same time.\u00a0 Since I hadn’t photographed there before, I decided to take a tour of The Anderson House.\u00a0 If you are ever in the D.C. area and you appreciate history, this should be on your tour list.\u00a0 It was a fascinating home built by Larz and Isabel Anderson, and it was just one of their many homes.<\/p>\n

One of the greatest aspects to this wedding was the uniting of two cultures, Latin and Japanese.\u00a0 Mai surprised John and his family with a Mariachi band, which led the entire wedding party to the wedding reception as they walked through the streets of D.C.\u00a0 Halfway through the reception, Mai changed into a traditional kimono which brought in her Japanese heritage.\u00a0 It was an elegant affair from start to finish and very personal too.<\/p>\n
